Doing Ham Stuff                                                                And a little SSTV

For years I was a Chicken Bander  until it got so filthy mouthed I chucked
the radios.  Could not have that stuff blaring with kids in the house.  Became a Ham
in 1990 and haven't looked back sense.  Worked the World on 10 meters, I love it..
But the wife and I got out of Ham radio for a few years and we got back into it
in Dec of 2004,  I shortly upgrading to General Class the wife KB7LQT is still a
Tech +.

Shack includes following equipment; 1 ghz and  500 mhz desk top
computers. The computers have the following ham programs;
Echo link, Ham Scope, AC Log (logging program), MMSSTV and
many others.  Laptop has all above and SSTV also.
Shack includes; Alinco DR 110 and DJ 160 HT
2 meter Radios.  HF radio is a Kenwood TS-130S primary
and is also used when needed as a mobile.
Antenna tuner is a  MFJ-969.
As you can see all radios have external speakers.
Not seen is the Alinco HT or misc antenna analyzers and other
support equipment.  No Amp in this shack, just barefoot.

I enjoy making QSL Cards for myself and others
you can check some out  <HERE>

---------------- Mobile HF setup ---------------

|---------------------- HF setup in 1984 Nissan Extended Cab 4X4 -------------------|

I sold the TS 120S shown here to a good friend, but the TS 130S fits just as well.
Mounted in the dash is a Alinco DR-110 2meter radio running to a 5/8s wave base loaded
antenna..The HF antenna's are 10 thru 80 meter seperate Ham Stick antennas each tuned
for the middle of the phone portion of each band.  They have to be physically changed out on the
mount spring seen in the first picture.  The mount for the radio is 3/4 plywood
glued to jump seat behind passenger seat.  There is a metal flange that goes up
and over the radio with a combination lock that you can see in the second pix.  Over the radio
is old computer cabinet to protect radio if something is thrown it behind the passenger seat.

1979 Ford 2WD setup

Alinco DR110  2 meter and a Realistic HTX-100, 10 Meter SSB/CW rig.
Icom V8000 shown has been sold.. with Alinco Temporarily replacing it..

I use the Alinco DJ160 HT on the bike,
check out the junk box setup on link below.
