What does the Bible teach us about DEATH?

How did Jesus describe death? ------- John 3:11-14
"Sleep"

How much do the dead know? -------- Eccl. 9:5 - 6
"They know nothing"

Can a dead man think? ----------------------- Ps. 146:3 - 4
"Thoughts Perish"

What do the dead know of their loved ones? ---- Job 14:21
"They don't know"

What three things are we made of? --------- 1 Thess. 5:23
"Body, Spirit and Soul"

We know what our Body is but what is the Spirit and Soul,
are they seperate things? ----------- Job 27:3
"Yes , Spirit is the Breath God Gives us."

So that leaves the Soul, where does it  come from? ------ Genesis 2:7
"The dust or body was combined with Gods breath or Spirit and
this combination produces a LIVING SOUL"

Ok lets compare this to a Light bulb and Electricity.

The Light Bulb is the Body

The Electricity is the Spirit or Breath, remember they are used
interchangeably.

By themselves they do nothing,  but combine the Light Bulb (Body)
and the Electricity (Spirit) and what do you get,  Light (the Soul).

Ok, so now we know that death is the seperation of body and spirit. The body goes back to dust and the spirit which is, Gods breath,  goes back to him and the Soul just ceases to exist until Resurrection. At resurrection the  body and spirit are again brought together and becomes a living soul ready for judgement.  But between death and resurrection,  the dead just sleep knowing nothing or no-one.

So who is impersonating loved ones and spirits etc that we hear about.  Who wants us to believe that we don't ever die after death, we'll live on as a spirit, we don't need Christ to have everlasting life.   Hmm I wounder who has the fallen angels now "demons"  to impersonate loved ones and ghost and spirits to get us to believe in a afterlife without Jesus.

 ( Oh, sorry, ya, there was a war in heaven and the Head Angel got jealous of our savior and led a revolt with some other angels, they got their butts kicked and sent to earth to  wait for judgement and they are all pissed off and stuff.  The head angel (Satan) is like really pissed and jealous of all the attention mankind is giving to the Lord for his sacrifice, love and redemtion and is determined to  lead mankind away from the Lord using any means.   Here is some background reading on this;

Anyway, these demons know everything about us and our deceased loved ones,  knowing and using this information to suck us into believing  that we are communicating with a deceased loved one.   So lets do a little role playing.  You hear of a great median, you go to the median and they contact good old (relative) and the median starts telling you things only you and the (relative) would know,  and the (relative) passes the message of how happy (he/she) is on the OTHER SIDE and passing along their LOVE and wishing you PEACE.  Pretty convencing.  The median is probably really talking to someone from the otherside, but it's  NOT   the (relative), it's a fallen angel (demon) impersonating your (relative) giving secret information in hopes of convencing you and the median that they are your (relative).  The (demon) knows  if he can convence you that people are living and functioning right now on the OTHERSIDE, then the word of God is a lie and you don't need him.

Who would do such a low thing?

SATAN  the GREAT DECEIVER and his DEMONS thats who.....
See, Satan does not have to make you believe in him, he only has to get you to stop believing in Christ.  And in doing so, Satan knows your Soul will join his in damnation, not because you followed Satan but because you didn't follow Christ.   He knows the loss of your Soul will bring great pain to the Lord and that gives Satan great pleasure.

How seriously does God want us to stay away from seeking spirits thru medians etc?    Just look up his warnings listed below.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
