Welcome to the current FOX HUNT.  Use the information given to find the fox.  You can copy and print out map and compass.

If you figure out on the map where the FOX is just put the cursor over the area and start searching which is just like walking around to pinpoint the foxes location, if the cursor turns into the Pointing Hand, you've found the Fox.  Go ahead and Click the spot  which will take you to the solution page and will allow you to get a Certificate for the FIRST Fox Hunt you solve, (Not Every Fox Hunt, One Certificate per Person).  Must have an E-mail address to recieve Certificate.

On the compass, if you copy and print it out, I would suggest cutting off the grey areas around edge and center.

This Fox Hunt is a little harder.  We have a Chicken Bander illegally operating on 10 mtrs in the area.  Lets see if we can nail this Clucker.

We have an Airplane down some where South West of Joseph, OR.  The pilots flight plan calls for a heading of 262^ from Joseph to LaGrande, OR.  He called saying he was having engine problems with his single engine Piper, he reports that he is finding it difficult to find a suitable flat area to set it down, he thinks he is within a couple miles south of his flight path to LaGrande and has spotted an area, radio signal lost as plane evidently goes below mountains.  Joseph airport has only One portable reciever with a BNC connector.  A ham operator is using it  and his 2 mtr 3 element Fox Hunting Antenna to get another bearing if possible on the Planes Emerency Beacon.  He finds a very weak signal between 228^ and 250^ From his position marked as Recvr #1 on your map.  You will now fly over the area to pinpoint the planes signal then parrachute in and search on foot with First aid supplies, GPS, and a Portable HF Rig to get info out so a chopper can come in for rescue.  The plane is Light Blue over White, Good luck...
