Most Citizens are learning  that the United States has more recoverable oil than
the rest of the worlds known deposits combined.  As they do, they will not stand
for the Shenanigans on Capital Hill.  Thanks to the Internet, Citizens can now access
Mountains of data and the truth about why we are paying over $4 a gallon for gas..

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay, this area
of the western 2/3 of North Dakota; western South Dakota; and extreme eastern Montana
has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil.  The Energy
Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. And because this
is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just Sixteen Dollars PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight.

And if that is not enough, hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains
lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world with more than 2 TRILLION barrels.

This shale oil is now recoverable through new technology of drilling combined with hydrothermal
extraction, not by stripping the land to get at it as some would have you believe.

We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are
the official estimates:

8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

18-times as much oil as Iraq

21-times as much oil as Kuwait

22-times as much oil as Iran

500-times as much oil as Yemen - and it's all right here in the Western United States.

So with all this oil that can be extracted in a friendly way to the environment, why are we not doing so?

The number one reason was until now, we did not have the technology to extract shale oil via drilling.

Number two is Environmental activity against Oil, stacking on piles of red tape to drill, refine and the
using of oil.  Closing whole areas from oil extraction.  A good example is those ads by environmentalist
showing the pristine Mountains of ANWR (Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge) and vomiting up the doom
and gloom that will happen to this scenic wonderland and the animals that live there if we open ANWR to
oil extraction.  The truth is far from this ad.  The drilling area that would be effected is far away on the
flat coastal plains which is  the tundra of ANWR. And if this whole tundra area of ANWR were the floor
of a Basket ball court, the area effected by drilling would fit under your credit card thrown on the floor.

In this case, they out and out lie about the area to be drilled.  They ignore wildlife photos of herds of
animals thriving amongst the oil equipment and buildings of Prudhoe Bay.  They want you to believe that
only destruction will come if ANWR is tapped for oil.

In short they know they can claim anything and scare people into acting to further governmental control
over everyone before any reputable scientific study can disprove their claims.

So here we are with the biggest oil deposits in the world. Forced to pay over four dollars a gallon because
we have allowed ourselves to be lead by a highly funded group of Eco-Freaks.  They use any excuse to
manipulate our society into a direction toward their Utopian dream no matter who gets hurt on the way.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi refused to let increased drilling be voted on and Democrats under her
leadership voted to go on a 5 week paid Vacation....  Nancy scurried out the door ordering lights and cameras
off in the House Chambers as she sped off to promote her new book...   House GOP minority members stayed
in Chambers protesting Democrats lack of Action to ease the burden on Americans Energy bill....

Dems know it will take decades to replace a fossil fuel economy, they do not want to lessen the burden on
America by tapping our own resources to get us through until alternative energy can take over.  They don't
care who it hurts because they believe their goals for the future justify the means.   If the truth be known,
they don't care if the cost goes to $10 a gallon, they gleefully see this as a way to force alternative energy
down the throats of Americans...  This way they do not have to lead us to alternative fuels with an Energy
Plan and timelines that need to be negotiated, nope, just let things go having OPEC and Speculators do the
job for them no matter who it hurts...  They don't care that it cripples our economy and cost jobs.  They don't
care that our National Security is jepordized.  They don't care if your budget is shot to hell with rising Fuel, Food
and Mechandise cost.  THEY DON"T CARE....

I'm going to take a swipe at Liberal Eco-Freaks, I would lay the deaths of US servicemen in Iraq right at the
Eco-Freaks door, not George Bush's White House.  If we were able to use our own resources, we would have
no need to safeguard an oil supply in someone else's back yard.  Our economy is dependent on oil right now,
it does not matter where it comes from. If we are not allowed to use our own, then we will need to secure a
supply from somewhere else.  Plain and simple.

No rocket science here.

Number Three, the oil companies and oil speculators are getting rich with the status quo.  If Congress even
hinted that it was going to open all areas in the United States for oil extraction, The scare would drop gas
prices tomorrow, OPEC would go into a panic and drop their price in hope of discouraging us from tapping our
own oil deposits.  Speculators would run to pull out of Oil futures dropping the price. 
Oil companies would jump into drilling for fear of Governmental take over of undeveloped oil options, letting them
out to junior companies willing to drill.

We have the largest oil deposits on EARTH.  Why are we paying $4 dollars a gallon???  Why are we subjugating
ourselves to Oil Producing countries that hate us?  Why are we sacrificing our own national security by depending
on foreign oil?  Why are our children dying to protect Oil deposits in the backyards of other countries?

Ask this of the Liberals and the Eco-Freaks who have forced us to.......

We need to open dry land drilling in all areas of known reserves inside our borders first,  it is the fastest
over setting up off shore drilling rigs that have to be built and towed into position.  This influx of oil will ween
us from foreign oil, and increase our security, sovereignty and self determination.. And most importantly give
us the time to switch our energy base to alternative sources.  Government needs to lead this transition from
a fossil fuel economy to a diversified energy economy.   The goals could be set up just as the "Man on the Moon"
Mission of Pres. Kennedy.

Mandate auto makers to build a percentage of cars sold in the United States as zero emissions vehicles like
the GM EV1s that General Motors built then sabotaged with governmental help.

Type Certify a Nuclear Power Plant, which would greatly cut the red tape in building Nuclear plants leaving
only the site needing approval.  Once this design is Certified, start replacing Fossil Fuel electrical generation
plants as fast as possible, which will cut green house gases.   Increase insentives for Solar, wind and geothermal
electrical generation.

Once Alternative Power starts coming on line, require auto makers to increase percentage of electric vehicles made.
This will cut green house gases on the highways.  This is a can do technology NOW.  Hydrogen Cell powered cars
are a speculation for the future, it may or may not be a viable source of power for cars in mass.

Why are we paying four dollars a gallon when we could have a plan in place to make us energy independent,
be environmentally friendly, and be more secure in the world and not have to send our children to secure an
energy source in someone else's backyard.   There is no reason other than the special interest of a few....
